Creag Bheag – Path Upgrade

The upper section of the popular Creag Bheag path near Kingussie was in a poor condition showing classic signs of path erosion from the many walkers who have used the path. Scottish Government funding via the Cairngorms National Park Authority enabled COAT to upgrade the poorest 600m section. A helicopter was used to bring in both path surfacing and stone; a feature of the upgraded path were stone pitched sections on the steeper south facing slope.
