Lovers Lane upgrade – Lumphanan

The upgrade and improvements to the Lovers Lane path were welcomed by the Lumphanan Community. Previously two old bridges had a step up onto them and both were in disrepair, the path had narrowed and was uneven.

The aim of the project was to encourage greater access for people including the less-abled and those with push chairs; to that end the path was wided with a smoother surface and two new bridges were installed here the opportunity was taken to take out the steps. The project was funded by Aberdeenshire LEADER and Scottish Natural Heritage.
