New Bridge ensures a future for Kingussie river crossing

Upper Gynack Bridge 12s

Kingussie Community Development Company had been championing a replacement crossing at Strathlynn, Kingussie over the Gynack burn before a bridge closure – which occured at another location on the same path network only a few hundred metres downstream. COAT employed a civil engineer to draw-up plans for a ‘Ranger’ aerial-mast bridge similar to the one which replaced the condemned structure further downstream.

The plans were approved at planning and the bridge has now been constucted.
